After visiting the National Museum of History or better known as the Castle of Chapultepec, we will stop for lunch and continue to the famous National Museum of Anthropology; one of the most important in Latinamerica rooms housting the prehispanic evidence of th Mexica, Maya, Toltec and the country's ethnic cultures through time.

During the colonial period, Chapultepec was appreciated as a place of resting and relaxtion, for which it was built at the base of the hill, on the foundations of what was once the residence of Moctezuma II Xocoyotzin, a palace that gave shelter to numerous viceroys and distinguised visitors for over two centuries. However, the explosion of podwer magazine in the mid-eighteenth cntury, which caused serious famage in the building, led to the decision that the new palace was built on top of the hill, right on the site of an ancient chapel dedicated to San Miguel archangel.
