The recent service provided was excellent.
The driver was waiting for us with our name on a sign just past the "shark tank" at the Puerto Vallarta airport as advertised.
He greeted us with fresh towels and the beverages that we has requested. He spoke excellent English and was very accommodating. The SUV was new and in excellent shape with great air conditioning. The ride over to the resort was uneventful and enjoyable. The return ride back to the airport in a van was also enjoyable and uneventful and seemed too short while chatting with a different driver who also spoke excellent English and provided excellent service. Very professional.
I am more accustomed to a more rigorous or disciplined approach with documentation for transportation than what was required here. This is not bad, just different, and since it was different from what I was used to, I was a bid apprehensive with the return schedule. Let me explain. It has been my experience that sometime after checking in at a resort in the next day or so, you go to the travel service desk and confirm your return trip to the airport. At that time you are given a receipt which you "must not lose", and which is presented to the driver when you are picked up for the return trip. That was not the case with Discovery Mundo, and when I went to the other travel representative to confirm our return, no one seemed to know who Discovery Mundo was, or what local company was contracted through you. I was however assured over the phone using the numbers provided on your documentation that everything was OK, and there was no problems with having a driver and private shuttle service scheduled to pick us up for the return. Again, this is not a bad thing, it just made me a bit uneasy since it was different.
Overall the service was Excellent and if/when we travel again, I will be contacting Discovery Mundo first about any transportation needs!
